Nashville Restaurant Radio ("NRR," "we," "us") is a podcast hosted by Brandon Styll covering Nashville's restaurant community. This policy explains what information we collect through the website, how we use it, and your choices.

What we collect

Information you give us

• Be a Guest applications: When you submit our Be a Guest form, we collect your name, email address, restaurant or business name, and any details you choose to share about your story.
• Contact form: Name, email address, and the message you provide.
• Sponsor inquiries: Contact details and any sponsorship-related information you share.

Information collected automatically

• Web analytics (Google Analytics 4): page views, browser type, approximate location (city/region), and referral source. Aggregated, used to understand site usage.
• Server logs: IP addresses and request paths for security and operations. Retained 30 days.
• Cookies: Google Analytics may set cookies. We do not set advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser without losing site functionality.

Episode content

• When you appear as a guest on the podcast, we record audio of the conversation. The audio is published publicly on Anchor / Spotify / Apple Podcasts and similar platforms.
• We use third-party services to transcribe episode audio (OpenAI Whisper) and generate written show notes (Anthropic Claude). The audio and resulting transcripts are processed by these providers per their respective terms of service.
• Show notes, transcripts, and quoted excerpts are published on this website as part of the episode pages.

How we use information

• To respond to inquiries, schedule guest appearances, and manage sponsorships.
• To produce, publish, and promote podcast episodes.
• To send occasional NRR-related emails (new episode notifications, event invites, requested follow-ups). Opt out anytime.
• To improve the website and understand visitor behavior.
• To comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We do not sell or rent your information. We share information in these limited cases:

• Service providers who help us run NRR: Google Workspace (email), Resend (transactional email for forms), Anchor / Spotify (podcast hosting), OpenAI (audio transcription), Anthropic (show notes generation), Google Analytics 4 (site analytics), Distill Works (website hosting and infrastructure). These process information only on our behalf, per their respective terms.
• Sponsors, only with your explicit permission (e.g., if you've requested a vendor introduction).
• Legal compliance, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect against fraud or safety threats.

Guest appearances and likeness

When you appear on the podcast as a guest, you grant NRR a non-exclusive, perpetual, royalty-free license to publish, distribute, and promote the episode (including your name, voice, and quoted statements) across podcast platforms, the NRR website, and NRR's social media channels.

You may request that we remove an episode or specific identifying details from the website by emailing the address below. We cannot recall episodes that have already been distributed via Anchor, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or third-party services, but we will remove them from official NRR-controlled distribution channels.

How long we keep information

• Form submissions (contact, Be a Guest, sponsor inquiries): up to 2 years from your last interaction, then deleted unless we have an ongoing relationship.
• Email correspondence: retained while it serves a legitimate business purpose.
• Server logs: 30 days.
• Analytics: subject to Google Analytics retention settings (currently 14 months by default).
• Published episode audio and show notes: indefinitely (this is the public archive of the podcast).

Your choices

• Access or deletion: Email us to request a copy of the information we have about you, or to ask us to delete it.
• Email opt-out: Reply with "unsubscribe" or use any unsubscribe link in our emails.
• Cookies: Disable via browser settings.
• Episode requests: See "Guest appearances and likeness" above.

Children

NRR is intended for restaurant operators, hospitality professionals, and adult listeners. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS, access controls, reputable service providers) to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
